I received a call or email requesting additional information to verify my identity. What should I do?

When you purchased your inPOWER Card at a PAYOMATIC location, you were required to provide information that we use to verify your identity, including your:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Identification Number

Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information identifying each person who opens a Card Account.

If you received a call or email, we need additional information to verify your identity to complete your enrollment for the inPOWER Prepaid Mastercard®.  You will be unable to add money to your card until you complete the steps below.

Gather Documents to Prove Your Identity

You are required to provide the following:

  • ONE of the following Column A Primary ID documents; OR
  • TWO of the following Column B Secondary Documents; OR
  • ONE of the following Column B Secondary Documents and ONE Column C Supporting Document

Below is a table of the documents that are considered Primary, Secondary, and Supporting.

  • Medical Record (Doctor, Hospital, or Clinical)
  • Pay Stub
  • Lease Agreement
  • Explanation of Benefits from an Insurance Provider
  • Letter from the Social Security Administration
  • Vehicle Registration Card
  • Voter’s Registration Card
  • Letter from US Citizen & Immigration Services
  • Letter from a US State or County Health & Human Social Services

 

Review Documents

If a primary document is not available, or if the information on the primary document does not completely match, please provide two secondary IDs or one secondary ID and one Supporting ID for us to verify your identity. The chart above outlines acceptable forms of ID. 

If the ID provided is outdated, or is otherwise invalid, it is unacceptable.

Provide Documents

There are two options to provide documents:

  1. Secure File Upload (Preferred Option; Fastest Response)
  2. Visit a Store (Find a PAYOMATIC Store Near Me)

Secure File Upload

Secure File Upload is a service that lets you quickly and securely upload files from your mobile phone using your phone's camera.

If a valid email was provided, you should have received an email from a customer service representative at support@inpowercard.com with instructions to upload files using Secure File Upload.  To guarantee timely processing, please use the exact link provided in the email.

How to Use the Secure File Upload Tool

Step 1: Identify the documentation you need from the ID Table

Step 2: Securely upload your documents using PAYOMATIC Secure File Upload

  • You will receive a unique secure URL in an email from a customer support specialist. You must use the address you are given in the email.

You will be able to capture your document images directly from your smartphone with the Secure File Upload Tool.

Once you are done uploading documents, click submit, and a confirmation email and number will be generated.  We will review your documents, and a customer service representative will reach out if there are any questions.

Visit a Store

The fastest way to submit your documents is using Secure File Upload (see directions above).  If you prefer to visit a store, you can go to any PAYOMATIC location, and they can submit your documentation for review. Find a PAYOMATIC store near me
